First suitor in school
It has only been less than a month since school starts and QQ already got a suitor. According to QQ, this suitor is called RY. He will always tried to talk to her, touch her shoulder and even hijack her classmates seat (so that he can sit beside QQ)...
I asked if RY touch other friends or talk to other kids... QQ says no...only to her...
OMG!!! How can a 4 year old came out with so much idea to woo a girl.... Kids these day really matured fast...

And each time someone got kick back to the starting point, everyone laugh! They love the part where they were tickled while singing song... what a weird preference :p
They love it so much that they requested to play this game again the following day....

Came home with a packet of gummies
QQ came home with a packet of gummies. She is proud of herself cause she wrote S in school today on the whiteboard so teacher rewards her with a packet of gummies. Good girl shared it with her little brother XX.

QQ was relating about one of her classmates who was crying at school today.
QQ: Mummy, one of my classmates cried today cause she wanted to go home with her mummy.
Me: Oh, poor thing... She must missed home. Did you console her?
QQ: No

QQ: Cause I was busy eating noodle 😓😓😓

QQ starts to make new friends
14th January 2014
2 weeks into school and QQ has make a few friends. Now QQ has 3 good friends and they seems to be playing together while in school... and her best friend is MX... QQ sticks with MX most of the times but also playing along with AD and TB.
QQ even has a best friend in her school bus whom she chats with....Am happy for QQ that she is adapting well to school.

Cheeky QQ at home

Back at home today...
It was during lunch time and although mummy illiterate umpteen times that NO TOYS ON DINING TABLE, QQ still brings one of her toys. Well, mummy gave in and said you can put the toys at one side but do not play until you finish your food.
Doesn't want to listen and start playing with this round mini plastic coin-like thing. She said "Ready, Get Set, Go" and roll the coin.... and it falls on the floor. Of course, (giggling inside), mummy said "No picking up the toys until you finish your lunch"
A while later, QQ said she wanted to go toilet (and because she finish her whole water bottle of water today), i did not suspect a thing.
She came down and said she doesn't want to go toilet anymore, pick up her toy and laugh cheekily! OMG!!!!! It was a trick to get down to pick up her toys... i wonder where she learns that from!!!

Second week into school and QQ came back and told me that she kiss one of her classmate today.
My first question is " Is it a boy or a girl?" (Haha, mummy tends to be more protective....)
Luckily QQ told me its a girl and she would never kiss a boy cause cannot... Phew! And by the way, the girl kiss QQ back too! So fast already found good friend in school :)

A new school week for QQ

It is the beginning of another school week for QQ. Today she brave herself up and didn't cry/weep when boarding school bus! Thumbs up for another milestone baby!
QQ played hula hoops at school today. QQ says she just turn the hula hoops and then it falls on the ground, so cute!

Gardening Day
8th January 2015
Today is gardening day. QQ says teacher gave her a bucket of water and teach her how to water plants. Great way to bond with the nature!
Then QQ complain that today didnt have toys to play.. and mummy had to explain that everyday have different activities to learn different things so today the activities planned didnt include playing toys.
QQ also manage to chit chat with her bus-mate on her way home..

QQ First Independent School Day
5th January 2015
This week school officially starts. Parents are encouraged not to accompany kids in class (though parents can still be there until end of the year)
Already told QQ before school starts that we won't be accompanying her to school starting from this week plus she seems to be very happy about going to school.
But today can't wake up again. Took me 5 minutes to get QQ's ass out of the bed...
Wasn't expecting QQ to cry again when boarding bus BUT she did....
Came back with smiling face though... told me that she only cried a while, then start to chat with school bus auntie.
QQ did some art work today and said that teacher say can't bring art work back home so if I want to see, must go visit her at school (what a good reason so that we can go visit her... this smart little QQ)

First Day School of QQ's Life
Learning is a lifelong process and QQ is about to start hers.
In Singapore, one can start school as early as Nursery One (the year your child turn 3 years old). For QQ, we decided to let her start school at Nursery Two as we thought Nursery One is a little bit too young to be starting school (still a bit clingy to parents... hard to separate without a fight)
Even at Nursery Two, some would argue that it is still young but I felt that QQ has been increasingly in need for more activities at home (more than what i could provide). Why would i say that... well, just my personal thought that it has been increasingly difficult for her to nap and after some research, usually kids only shed their nap time at about 5-6 years old and QQ is only 3 years plus, so it is way before her nap shedding time. Therefore, I attributed this to her lack of activities... Plus I observe that if I played with her A LOT, as in really strenuous tonnes of activities, then only will she nap well. So I guess it is high time for her to start going to school... many people to play with her, she can learn some stuff as well I guess but mainly is to let her interacts with other children, have some different activities and learning to be independant.
And so began her lifelong learning journey...

On the first day of school, QQ has difficulty waking up (cause not used to waking up at 6 plus in the morning) but luckily still manage to drag her out from her bed.
Got into school bus with a shed of tears (lucky not big loud cry)... bus auntie told her later that QQ only cried for a while then start chatting with her bus-mate!
When we got to school to peep on QQ, she was happily coming out from her toilet trip with teachers and friend. Phew, I was really glad... seems that QQ is adapting well.
Since QQ is doing well, I went for breakfast nearby and got back to peep on QQ again before she finishes school. QQ was listening to story and even occasionally talk to her friend who was sitting next to her.
End of the day, QQ said she is happy to go to school... I was glad that we make the correct decision (cause initially kept thinking whether is it too early to subject QQ to schooling life so early). I do hope that she continue to love going to school as I just heard from a friend that kids have ups and downs when it comes to school .. They can love it for a moment then hate it.. OMG!
